Meet Mark Costigan, Operations Manager at Creative Carpet & Flooring in Highland, Indiana
Q: Why did you join Creative Carpet & Flooring?
A: It was mostly a matter of good timing; my store was being taken over by my village through eminent domain. During this time, a mutual friend informed me that Creative Carpet & Flooring was looking to fill a management position in their Highland, Indiana, store. Having heard a lot of good things about this company over the years, I jumped at the opportunity.
Q: Would you rather visit the past or the future?
A: I'm curious to explore what the future holds so I could find out when the Cubs will triumphantly win the World Series again.
Q: What motivates you to work for Creative Carpet & Flooring?
A: They are an exemplary company to work for; they hire competent and professional individuals who are a pleasure to work with. When you work for a place that you enjoy coming to, it's easy to be motivated to be part of a great team and to make a difference.
Q: What issue will you always speak your mind about?
A: I am always vocal about the issue of domestic violence and support the effort to put an end to it. It is an issue we must take seriously and address with urgency. Domestic violence should never be accepted as normal or acceptable behavior. Utilizing preventive measures, educating those affected, and providing support systems are essential for tackling this issue. Society must shift attitudes, provide resources, and hold perpetrators accountable. Spreading knowledge and providing support to those affected by domestic violence is a powerful step toward a more equitable society free from this form of abuse. Let's work together to raise awareness, show our solidarity for survivors, and promote healthy relationships while striving to end domestic violence.
Q: Which company benefits are your favorite?
A: One of the best things about my job is the amazing company benefits. I'm given generous vacation time, which helps me to come back to work and be productive. Beyond that, I love that this is a family-run business - they value and take care of their employees' families too!
Q: Where is your hometown?
A: My hometown is McHenry, Illinois.
Q: What is your favorite flooring?

A: Putting aside all the other flooring options, my personal favorite has to be Mannington's Adura Max Vinyl Plank in Napa Tappin shade. This comes with a realistic texture and a registered pattern-matching look. Additionally, its wide plank feature makes it even more appealing while also providing longevity and warmth to an area.
Q: What is your favorite flooring in your house?
Shaw Floors - Angora Classic III in Dala
A: I love my Angora Classic III carpeting in Dala by Shaw Floors for my home! The way it combines those gorgeous jewel-toned flecks and peppercorn-toned flecks with the most stunning neutrals is simply mesmerizing. Every time I look at it, it feels like a work of art that effortlessly blends colors and styles. The dense nylon fiber with those interesting flecks adds a cozy and inviting touch to my space. It's like stepping onto a cloud every time I walk on it! My Angora Classic III carpeting captures my style and creates a warm, comfortable ambiance. My home feels like a haven, and I couldn't be happier with my choice!
