Q: What’s the most unique aspect about working here?
A: Unlike our industry, which is typically not very forward-thinking and tech-savvy, I believe we break that mold drastically. Being a part of an organization that embraces innovation can lead to exciting opportunities and a dynamic work environment.
Q: Would you rather have a time machine or a teleportation device?
A: I would choose a time machine. The idea of being able to travel back in time and witness historical events, such as seeing the dinosaurs or understanding how the pyramids were constructed, is incredibly intriguing. Even as a grown adult, these thoughts still captivate my imagination and curiosity.
Q: How have you grown professionally while working with us?
A: When I first started at the company, I relied solely on my memory to get things done. However, I soon realized that in order to improve our company, I needed to develop a system. This system not only ensures that our clients have a consistent experience when working with us, but it also facilitates better communication among our employees. My top priorities are customer service and ensuring quality communication meets expectations.
Q: What is your favorite destination?
A: My favorite destination is Shavehead Lake in Michigan. My in-laws have a spot there, and it holds a special place in my heart because my children have made so many wonderful memories there. The joy of creating lasting moments with loved ones is something truly priceless.
Q: What do you like best about the company culture?
A: We strive to avoid that typical "corporate" feel. It's refreshing to work in an environment where you feel like you're surrounded by family and friends, rather than dragging yourself to work. This sense of camaraderie and connection makes each day enjoyable and motivates us to give our best efforts. It's a privilege to work in such a welcoming atmosphere!
Q: Where is your hometown?
A: I was raised in Homer Glen, Illinois, but currently live in Munster, Indiana.
Q: What is your favorite flooring?
Shaw Floors' Exquisite in Brightened Oak
A: If I had to choose a favorite flooring, it would be the Shaw Exquisite line, particularly in the Brightened Oak color. This flooring is not only hardwood but also waterproof. They used a sliced veneer on a vinyl lock and fold backing, allowing you to float the hardwood similar to laminate and vinyl plank flooring. However, the difference is that it has actual wood on the top, providing a visually appealing option. This combination offers the best of both worlds.
Q: What flooring would you choose for your dream home?
Shaw Floors' Exquisite in Natural Hickory
A: In my dream home, I envision an open concept layout with wide-width plank wood flooring in a natural color like Shaw Floors Exquisite in Natural Hickory. I prefer the natural color because it tends to hide any scratches caused by my army of active children better than darker stained floors.
