Meet Alexis Giganti, Administrative Assistant
Q: What’s your favorite part of the job?
A: What I love about my line of work is seeing all the new products before most people do. It’s fun to stay ahead of the trends and share what’s coming in the flooring world.
Q: If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
A: I’d love to travel to both Ireland and Italy. With my mom being Irish and my dad Italian, it feels like I have a personal connection to both places. Both places have such rich history, beautiful scenery, and delicious food – I’d love to experience them in person!
Q: How have you grown professionally since starting here?
A: My professional growth at Creative Carpet & Flooring has been significant, particularly in the area of patience. The process of learning new things, though it may take time, is incredibly rewarding when everything falls into place.
Q: How many slices of pizza can you eat in one sitting?
A: When it comes to New York-style pizza, I can easily do 2-3 slices (they’re huge!). As for Chicago style, I’m all about those square cuts, so I can usually handle 4 to 5. Being raised in Chicagoland, you’d think I’d be biased, but after trying actual New York pizza in New York City, I’ve got to say… it’s delicious, too! But let’s be real, there’s no comparison. Both have their own magic!
Q: What’s the best thing that motivates you to work for Creative Carpet & Flooring?
A: The people, without a doubt, are the driving force behind my motivation to work for Creative Carpet & Flooring. My coworkers create an environment that feels like a second home. It’s this sense of belonging that I cherish and wouldn’t trade for anything.
Q: Where is your hometown?
A: I’m from Romeoville, Illinois, but moved to Minooka in November 2020. It was a significant change, but I’m happy with it.
Q: What is your favorite flooring?
Karndean – Korlok Reserve in Weathered Oak
A: My favorite flooring is Karndean’s Korlok Reserve in Weathered Oak. It’s durable, easy to clean, and looks great in any room. Plus, it holds up well with all the hustle and bustle at home!
Q: What is your favorite flooring in your house?
Karndean – Korlok Reserve in Weathered Oak
A: I have installed Karndean’s Korlok Reserve in Weathered Oak in my house, and I absolutely love it. Our house is busy with my parents, three older brothers, myself, two corgis, and four cats, so having a durable yet stylish floor is essential.
Alexis Giganti is the Administrative Assistant at Creative Carpet & Flooring, where she has been a dedicated team member since joining part-time during high school. After transitioning to a full-time role, Alexis has taken on a variety of responsibilities, including scanning, organizing price sheets, managing inventory, and keeping the workplace running smoothly. She values the close-knit, family-oriented culture at the company and is motivated by the supportive people she works with. Over the years, Alexis has grown professionally, especially in her patience and problem-solving skills. Her greatest accomplishment is reaching the 10-year mark at Creative Carpet & Flooring, and she’s inspired by her mom, Dawn Giganti, who also works at the company. Outside of work, Alexis enjoys gaming, dancing, and spending time with her pets, all while looking forward to her dream trips to Ireland and Italy.
