Meet Tim Churchill, Distribution Center Associate at Creative Carpet & Flooring's warehouse in Mokena, Illinois.
Q: When and why did you join Creative Carpet & Flooring?
A: I rolled into Creative Carpet & Flooring in the summer of 2018. I initially signed up to help the warehouse and showroom move from our old locations down the street to our current locations. It turned out I liked it so much that I stuck around full-time!
Q: What is a fact about you that few people know?
A: When I'm not cruising around delivering flooring or shuffling around the warehouse, you might catch me drumming away. I have been doing it since I was knee-high! Another fun Tim Fact, I'm a part of and compete in the American Powerlifting Federation.
Q: What motivates you to work for Creative Carpet & Flooring?
A: Why do I hustle every day at Creative Carpet? Aside from the fact that there's always room to climb the company ladder, it's the people. We've got this tight-knit crew, and it feels like everyone's got each other's back. My favorite part about being at Creative Carpet & Flooring, though, is working with lifelong friends.
Q: If there's one thing you could tell your 18-year-old self, what would it be?
A: If I could chat with 18-year-old Tim, I'd say don't stress the unknown. Just throw on a smile and keep on trucking.
Q: What do you like best about the company culture?
A: One thing I dig about this place is the lack of intimidation. No matter where you are in the company, asking for help is as easy as a stroll through the warehouse. Props to our leadership team for making that happen.
Q: Where is your hometown?
A: Well, my hometown is good ol' New Lenox, Illinois. But guess what? I recently snagged a place in Bourbonnais, IL. Yep, making moves and loving the new digs! And let me tell you, this year has been a wild ride—I've been learning the ropes of buying a house and navigating the whole mortgage game. It's been a personal journey, and I'm soaking up every bit of it!
Q: What is your favorite flooring?
